Northern Zone Monographic Results

July 19, 2020

Llanera - Asturias

On July 19 we celebrated our first ANPB North Zone Monographic in Llanera. We had the luxury of having the facilities and services of the Hotel Silvota.

Everything went smoothly. We were able to enjoy a very pleasant time that allowed the dogs to present themselves in good condition.

On Saturday afternoon the Breeding Commission and the Board of Directors met to discuss pending issues and evaluate the current situation of the association. We consider this feeback between both bodies essential for the proper functioning of our  Association and common decision-making.

At 20:30 an Extraordinary Assembly of partners was held in which the JD was ratified and aspects related to breeding raised by the attendees were discussed.

Afterwards we all enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Silvota hotel in which there was no shortage of laughter and our long conversations with Belgian shepherds.

On Sunday the evaluations were carried out starting around 9:30. From the JD we would like to highlight two aspects:

- On the one hand, the pleasant surprise of the fantastic number of dogs that participated (48 in the catalog) with few casualties in the ring, being high-level dogs.

- On the other hand, the wonderful atmosphere of collaboration and participation by all those who were there. The good vibes between all of us and the desire to get together again was evident. It has been a long time that fans have not enjoyed our race so much.

Being able to have a day director like José Miguel Arratibel was fortunate that I am sure we will remember and we will always thank him. His clear explanations and his fluency in developing the assessments attested not only to his experience and knowledge but also to his warmth and respect for all fans of the Belgian Shepherd.

It is true that in some moments it made the presenters sweat, until they could clearly see the movement of each of the dogs and giving that point of joy to the trials.

Our commissioners Sara Serrano and Patricia Felizziani did a wonderful job expediting the trials and showing absolute responsibility with the necessary security measures in these circumstances.

We had the pleasure of having two tireless photographers like Toni and Gari.

After the end of the trials, the day manager gave us his general opinion of the specimens, feeling very pleased to have enjoyed such good level dogs.

The debutante class was undoubtedly one of the most watched and expected, and it is not for less with so many puppies together in the ring, I did not remember the last time I could see such a wide class, a great satisfaction!

The male open classes caught the attention of the attendees. Many of them already known as Protos and Phoenix del Clamiu and others that we all wanted to see as Roy and Sultan de Pedralume who led the classification.

In Groenendael the best male went to the champion Keyan de Korosti, a clear example of masculinity with an excellent build, followed by Terramar Nordes Vako who was classified first in the Open Male class.

In open female Tervueren the EXC 1 went to Pandora D'Aquivelt, a female with a fantastic head that has shown a very good evolution, followed by Queila del Clamiu and Rose del Robygar, all of them high level bitches and with excellent presentation conditions .

In Gronenedal Females the first place went to Terramar Nordes X-Jewell, an elegant dog with a lot of class that was presented in excellent condition.

Both competed for the "Best In Show" on a very equal footing, the black being the winner.

We miss many of our people who for different reasons could not attend, but who have shown us their support and affection from a distance, we will soon be able to see each other, I am sure.
