In memory of Antonio Muñoz Tena

Antonio Muñoz Tena, an affable, enterprising, always active and generous man left us on May 25, still with a lot of life ahead of him.

I met Antonio in the early 1990s. A fan of the Belgian Shepherd, he was a regular at the Exhibitions of the time, where he began by presenting his female OBSESSION of the Golden Lion, bred by his good friend Federico Francés, a dog with a fantastic head, proportionate, with well parallel lines and with beautiful expression.

I immediately realized that his restless nature would lead Antonio to become actively involved in the life of the Club. A great conversationalist, with a strong character if necessary, but educated and with an evident gift of people, his career at the Club began in 1997 as a Delegate in La Mancha and a little later he became part of the Board of Directors of the CEPPB, in a really complicated and convulsive moment. He always showed his commitment to the Club and the race, but respecting everyone's ideas and approaches, maintaining a good relationship with everyone. Divine treasure ... how much this type of behavior is missed in different areas, not only in the environment of our race!

In “his” Puertollano, we celebrated the Special Breeding commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Club, at the end of September 2002, in the unforgettable Dehesa Boyal, where many Zone Monographs were carried out, in addition to the 2008 Breeding Special. all of them under the organization of Antonio Muñoz Tena.

Breeder of Tervueren in the 90s fundamentally, he made a reduced number of litters, although always of quality. Among its production, the fawn female VENECIA de la Balona stands out, one of the best Tervueren females of the famous “V” generation born in 1998.

Although in recent times we did not maintain much contact, I always remember the Christmas card. Every year at the end of December, we renewed this commitment. As always, it was a pleasure to chat with Antonio, especially at this time, with a strong family and emotional component. I will always have affection for Antonio and his family.

Our condolences to Rita, Ana, Irene and their entire family. A big hug.
